Hi Andy,
I have a question in regard to the GG AT construction.
In your opinion how does the tyre compare to other well known 4wd tyres such as BFG or Mickey Thompson for sidewall strength / resistance to staking etc?
Thanks Rich. 2005 TDV6 HSE Silver, LLAMS Height Controller, Tinted Glass, Onroad - 09 19's GG AT's, Offroad - 09 18's Cooper Zion LTZ, Traxside Dual Battery kit, Rasta Protection Plate, Alpine Roof, BAS Remap, ARB Air Compressor, eDiff Custom Drawer and storage unit - http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/use...r_unit.pdf HiRes copy -http://www.box.com/s/jem0ilac3cner2mexq64 UHF CB, Rock Sliders and Compressor protection plate.

Think the BFG will be a fair bit stronger than AT but saying that did not stop the sidewall on my Amazon with 285/65x18 BFG AT getting holed the other day with a flint.
Sharp objects etc and sidwalls just don't get on.
Not to sure on the M/Thompson as we don't see that many over here. Andy.

Update:
The 255/55/19 General AT's that AJS fitted to my D3HSE in October 2010 are still going strong.
They've done just over 20K miles now, the rears are down to @5mm, and the fronts @6mm.
They have done everything I've thrown at them, mud, wet grass, sand, shingle, slimy slipways with 2.5tns of boat on the back, and have been fantastic in the snow and Ice.
On wet roads they are also as good as any road based tyre I've driven with on a 4x4, and are no more noisy on the D3 than the worn Scorpions they replaced.
When the snow came last year they were virtually still like new, and performed really well, so today when we woke up to an inch or so of the white stuff I was interested to see how the worn tyres would perform.
In the short journey I've done today I can confirm they are still performing really well, but I suppose the bigger test will be tomorrow morning if it freezes overnight.
If only they were cheaper.

Looks like the 255/55x19 will soon be the only choice in AT. Andy.
