| Easy bulb replacement at the roadside! |
|
Here is my tip ...
As the headlamps (and grill) have to be removed to change a bulb and in Europe this is normally done in the dark at the roadside ....
... keep a piece of string in with your spare bulbs, to easily pull up the outside headlamp clips!
(The inside clips have lots of room for your fingers to get beneath, but the outside ones are a tight fit )
Like this!
(and while you've got the grill and one headlamp out - squirt a bit of WD40 on the other one as well for next time)

Had this issue at the weekend.
Pain in the arse.
Tried cable ties and they just ripped.
In the end I used a length of Weed-Wacker cable stuff as had some in the shed.
Wish I had seen this thread as didnt even think about greasing them for next time. A pessimist is an optimist with experience

I tried changing a fuse in the passenger side with a piece of string- after I dropped the tweezers into the black hole , didn't work. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Spencer Wells artery forceps. That's what you need in your tool kit! A small pair, straight or curved will do, a couple of quid on fleaBay!
